Brian Roemer is the Chief Commercial Officer of Sports Management Network (SMN). A partner in the firm and a veteran of the sports and entertainment industry, Brian is intricately involved in all aspects of SMN including its talent representation and corporate partnership acquisition practices, as well as leading business development and marketing for both the firm and its clients. Having initially joined SMN in 2002, Brian’s focus is primarily on new revenue generation for the firm’s individual, team, and property clients through contracts, commercial sponsorships, endorsements, personal service agreements, and other income-producing business opportunities.
Through Brian’s career with SMN he has worked with elite racing drivers including three generations of the Andretti family (Mario, Michael and Marco), Al Unser Jr., Brad Keselowski, Graham Rahal, Kurt Busch, Kyle Kirkwood, Ryan Blaney, Sam Hornish Jr., and Scott McLaughlin and secured major, blue chip corporate partnerships across INDYCAR, NASCAR, and sportscar racing for SMN’s team and property clients.
Brian earned valuable industry experience through his work as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing from 2006 – 2008, before rejoining SMN in 2008. Always with the goal of working in the sports business industry and specifically in motorsports, immediately out of college Brian worked for Campbell Marketing & Communications (Ford Performance’s marketing agency) and also served as Michael Andretti’s personal manager, where he first met and worked with SMN Founder and CEO, John Caponigro.
Born in Germany and raised in suburban Chicago, Brian is a graduate of the Louisiana State University (LSU) College of Business. He resides in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan with his wife, Amy, and their children, Robert and Marlowe.
