SMN Negotiates Contract Extension for Missouri Head Football Coach Gary Pinkel
Bloomfield Hills, MI (November 25, 2008) – Sports Management Network, Inc. (SMN) announced 
today that the firm has negotiated a contract extension for client Gary Pinkel, the head football coach at the University of Missouri, that will make him one of the highest paid coaches in the country. Since arriving in Missouri, Pinkel has created a winning program that has seen the Tiger’s win multiple Big 12 North championships, bowl games, and earn the school’s first number one national ranking since 1960. “Based on Gary’s results on the field, the increase in ticket sales, his job with the student-athletes, and the overall community and alumni support he has been able to generate for the Missouri program, it’s been highly impressive since he arrived at the school in 2000,” said SMN President and Founder John Caponigro. “Gary has undoubtedly done a great job down in Columbia and this new contract supports that effort.”
